Student Servant Leaders:

Sophomore: Jakki Pilat @ Jaclyn.Pilat@quinnipiac.edu

Hi, I’m Jaclyn Pilat in my second year here at Quinnipiac. I am from New Jersey , North Jersey to be more specific and I have been involved in ministry since my freshman year of high school. I was part of Hard as Nails Ministry that travels on the east coast and that had jumped started my faith journey which continues here at Quinnipiac. I love to travel, meet new people, and many other things such as shopping and watching movies. New York City is one of my favorite places to be.

Here at Quinnipiac, I really love going to Magnificat (the women’s group) and ICTHUS. These opportunities help me to explore my personal faith deeper and how I, as a college student, can be pro-active for myself and with others. I love talking to people and I am good listener so please feel free to ask me about anything! I hope everyone can take advantage of all the opportunities here on campus and explore their interests that call for something deeper. See you around!

Junior: E.J. Sitarski @ Edward.Sitarski@quinnipiac.edu

Hey all!! My name is Edward John Paul Sitarski III, but that’s too long-winded for even me to say sometimes so everyone just calls me EJ. I am a junior this year at Quinnipiac studying to become a high school History teacher. Before arriving here in Connecticut two years ago, I spent my life growing up in New Jersey . I enjoy spending time with friends and especially family. I love the family outings as they have played an important role in my upbringing. Laughing is something that I do often and, many times, for no apparent reason at all. So, if you ever need a good chuckle yourself, you could probably get one from watching me laugh for ten straight minutes.

Starting up my third year here, I have been involved with the Catholic Campus Ministry ever since the beginning of my college career. For practically my entire educational experience up until that point, I had gone to Catholic school. I was involved with my church choir and served mass as well, but there was always something missing. I think that that something was that while I had been brought up in the basic ways of the faith, I had not been advised to search deeper. Ever since my entrance into college, I have explored Catholicism in such a way that I have learned not only about that solely but also about myself as well. I pray that each one of you finds whatever it is that you feel you may be lacking as well as encourage you to get involved to the extent that is comfortable to you. I look forward to the year and getting to know each and every one of you better. God Bless!!

Senior: Tom Perretta @ Thomas.Perretta@quinnipac.edu

Hello everyone. I am extremely excited to be involved in Campus Ministry for the second year. I joined Branches last year actively after becoming involved with the new Knights of Columbus council. I was able to go on pilgrimage to Italy in January 2007 and on the Alternative Spring Break to Jacksonville, FL in March. Traveling with the ministry continues to be some of the most fun I've had at Quinnipiac. In addition to trips and retreats I enjoy weekly Bible study, discussion groups, ICTHUS on Wednesdays and singing in the choir at mass.
I am originally from Stamford, CT where I graduated from Westhill High School and played football. Currently I am a Resident Assistant in Dana, the Grand Knight of the Quinnipiac University Council Knights of Columbus, and a member of the New Haven U/23 Rugby FC.

Helping out with Mass:

To read, serve or EM at Mass -Meredith.Wolanin@quinnipiac.edu
To sing or play music at Mass – Melissa.Theall@quinnipiac.edu

Hey! My name is Melissa Theall I am from East Hanover, NJ and I am the PR for VITA and the Music Co-Director. I am a sophomore Physical Therapy major. I have attended Catholic schools since preschool and have found my way through many programs that have aided in my belief and helped my faith along during trying times. In high school, I was involved in our youth ministry group and our music ministry. Both groups were a way to interact with others who shared in my faith. When I arrived at Quinnipiac I knew it would be challenging because this was the first time I was not surrounded by all people sharing in my faith. It has diversified my life in so many ways, being able to meet different and interact with them is amazing and enlightening. By involving myself with the ministry on campus, I have been able to maintain my faith and share in its mystery with my fellow peers.
